“FRIENDSHIP ... IS BORN AT THE MOMENT WHEN ONE MAN SAYS TO ANOTHER 'WHAT! YOU TOO? I THOUGHT THAT NO ONE BUT MYSELF . . .'"
~ C.s. Lewis
Let's see what we have in common, shall we? ;)
more About abi
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm so glad you want to know more about me than my "official" bio tells. They can be kind of stuffy, can't they?
Let's start by having you call me Abi.
Let's start by having you call me Abi.
APPEARANCE: I'm a blonde-haired, green-eyed, and left-handed girl in her 20s.
FAMILY: I'm the oldest of 8 homeschooled kids (2 girls, 5 boys, and finally another girl), and I loved my quarter century at home with them. Now, I live in a charming third-story apartment with my husband and a balcony view of my favorite city skyline.
BELIEFS: I was raised in a small Bible church where we sang mostly hymns and were taught even the unpopular things out of God's word. Since relocating, I now attend the traditional service in a much (much!!) larger Bible church, where I was blessed to be married as well. Central to all my other beliefs is Jesus dying on the cross for my sins.
PASSIONS: Reading, writing, cooking/baking, people-watching, traveling, game nights, and singing. Does Netflix count? All about introducing my husband to those period pieces. <3
FAVORITES: I happen to adore wild mushrooms. And clouds. And puffins, although I'm not sure why (?). My favorite movie is You've Got Mail, although not much beats the LOTR trilogy. For TV, it's a draw between Call the Midwife and Downton Abbey. My favorite author is Louisa May Alcott, but my list of favorite books is a little harder to nail down. It continues to grow on my overflowing bookshelves and over on Goodreads.
WRITING: Yes, I've always enjoyed writing since childhood, but I've only been pursuing it seriously since 2016. I've...yet to find my niche. I've self-published Martin Hospitality, Martin Legacy, and Behind the Act [contemporary] and Andora's Folly [historical fiction retelling] as well as three short works in anthologies, Havok Publishing's Rebirth [fantasy] and A Very Bookish 4th of July and A Very Bookish Easter [contemporary]. Ideally, I'll be able to traditionally publish as well in the future. No, I don't intend to stop. ;)
The cool thing is, I've found out that I have a lot in common with people from around the internet. In fact, some of them are my best friends, and one was in my wedding. But whether any of that sounds like you or not, I've just given a whole bunch of conversation starters. So, what do you say?
